What’s going on with the women’s team this season?

Huge exodus of players over the summer so squad is very new in that respect. Seems unlike the men’s team we’ve not been able to replace with better players, although considering the sheer number of players it probably isn’t that surprising.

Not sure why Scheuer is leaving though, he must have known the squad limitations when he took over.

Curious. The WSL record isn't great since he took over (LDL) but there were 3 Cup wins in there, his last game being the 5-0 over Coventry.

Thats a very small sample-size in which to make a judgement. Something has clearly gone off behind the scenes, it can't have just been based on results at this stage.

Brighton and Hove Albion head coach Jens Scheuer has left the Women's Super League club after just two months in charge and it is understood his sudden departure has come amid growing concerns about his forthright management style.

The former Bayern Munich manager had arrived on December 28 on a three-and-a-half-year contract, but he leaves by mutual consent without having won a WSL game, and with Brighton in relegation danger. He took charge of just six fixtures in all competitions in England, including just three WSL matches, of which his side lost two and drew the other.

According to multiple sources, several of the staff and players at Brighton were unhappy about the way Scheuer had been allegedly speaking to colleagues in meetings, on the training ground and in the dressing room and his dealing with players and other club employees, to such an extent that there was general concern around the club that his appointment was simply not going to work out in the long-term. Scheuer has been contacted for a response.

Surprised by that. I know the Swedish duo preferred him over Hope Powell at least.
