A bit closer than that book than named Gordon Smith as our worst but there have still been many worse than Moralee.

Glen Thomas's performance at Brentford is enough to make him by far the worst player I have ever seen in an Albion shirt. I thibk Moralee scored our goal of the season at Gillingham, or maybe he hit the post or it would have been the goal of the season, either way it was probaly the highlight of the season so he can't be our worst ever player :lolol:

At least Moralee scored.

What about Davies, Hilton, Mahoney-Johnson etc who didn't score?

I do think Ashley Neal for that performance at Northampton in 1996 probably edges Glen Thomas out.

Missed that one. Did he gift wrap the opposition MORE than two goals early in the game and get substituted at half time then?

Glen Thomas I think just shades it as Ashley Neale did manage to impress with the first touch I saw from him - came out of the tunnel at the Goldstone and drove the ball from almost the halfway line into the net with the ball never getting over 2 foot from the ground. Really thought we had something good and then saw him play  :nono:

Thomas and Neale could share the honour as they were both dire and the Brentford and Northampton matches have stayed long into the memory.

However a few honourable mentions to Farrington, Tiltman and Trusson.

As crap as Farrington was, I do remember him scoring at both Huddersfield and Burnley.

We had to drop him after that as we would have had to pay Feynord (sp) the rest of the fee.

Great, the weekly worst ever player thread!
My worst memory of Moralee was him getting sent off away at Scunthorpe about 10 minutes after coming on.
Trusson turned out quite a few times, I remember him having a great game at the Goldstone, possibly against Leeds when we won our first game of the season after losing the first six (probably wrong). Didn't he get sent off at Palace as well by Kelvin Morton?
Mahony-Johnson and Lawrence Davies were amazingly bad.

Without a doubt. He messed up almost as shittily at Pissfield a week or two later as well, something beautifully captured on that season's "highlights" video.

Harsh on Nicky Rust. Midget he may have been but a very good shot stopper. Ross Flitney would be the one to replace him on the bench..

Wouldn't disagree the remaining 15 though!
