Makes me wonder if anyone has actually watched these youngster they suggest, Yasir Kasim is the same stature and the same type of player Bridcutt is, I don't see what he would bring to the party at all.

Injuries first picked Dunk in the team, I wouldn't say Gus chose the time this season atleast, he did against MK Dons for his debut though. I think needs must. We need to change something and if we aren't going to play with 2 wingers, then we should have someone in the centre who wants to get on the ball and create attacks. We've seen very little of Caskey but from what he showed against Yeovil, he could be the player we need. Unfortunately, we put a lot of time and effort into getting Ryan Harley, so he's going to get the opportunity to prove why.

Not as such. If needed we had a whole summer to get a CB in and Gus obviously was happy enough with Dunk to think that wasn't required. If Gus didn't think Dunk was ready we could even have played Vincelot/Calderon there without finding a new signing. An end of the season dead game against league 1 Yeovil is very different to a side struggling for form in the championship. Harley quite right deserves his chance over JFC if it's a straight choice between the two.

I'm not one to get one the backs of our own players or boo them or anything like that, but we can certainly do far, far better than Harley, and yes i believe certain players in our own squad would definately be able to do better.

Neither really .. but have only seen JFC once so going on comments others have made. Have seen every minute of Harley except at Watford and I can't get beyond his nil work ethic .... all it needs is for him to bring a reclining chair on next time and my image of him will be complete.

If JFC can play like that young lad for Palace then bring him on .... although I agree with those that have suggested the burden of responsibility is far too great at this stage in the season.

I thought Harley had a reasonable game at Watford, he played a couple of decent through balls, covered well in front of the back four. It wasn't a memorable performance, but I thought there were worse performers than him on Tuesday.

I often wonder weather Jake's tweeting works against him...Reading between the lines he seems very frustrated. Wonder if Poyet disapproves of such comments?

From what I've seen of him, and from what I've heard on here, he's had his chance. Does he know what RUN means? The sooner he's gone the better. His attitude before he even played a minute for us was poor, he seems to think he is mustard. I checked him out on youtube last night, and the comments below were not complimentary. Exeter fans were saying he doesn't chase back etc, yes he scored some good goals, which we are clearly lacking at the moment, but he's a complete luxury. I hope he proves me wrong and plays for the shirt on Sunday, if selected.

Have been saying for ages that JFC needs to go out on loan. A month at Dover to play against men under his step dad, and then move up to either Conference or Div 2 and see how he gets on and copes with the physical side of life in those divisions.

All very true but the OP was JFC or Harley .. apart from "Step Dad" you could equally apply those comments to Harley
