yes mate and i am pleased for you but here we are still locked up , it's the middle of summer , people are getting covid and having nothing more than a sore throat and a cough , we can't leave the state without an adequate reason , the death of a close relative is not deemed adequate and yet if you live in sydney , Melbourne or Brisbane you can get on a plane and go wherever you want Bali , Thailand , Brazil , London...we are paying a price for being the "engine room" of the country .

Earlier in the pandemic McGowan seemingly had the support of a vast majority of the electorate in WA, and basically told the rest of Australia to ‘do one’. How things change.

WA is just delaying the inevitable pain of realising that their zero covid fortress stance is a nonsense, same as the rest of Oz and NZ eventually realised

If the economy is good (in itself and/or compared to others) people are happy with the leadership.

If the economy is bad (in itself and/or compared to others) people are unhappy with the leadership.

Humans are quite simply that way.

Most current elected leaders will be voted out in the next election since economic prosperity has been impossible for the last few years.

covid is into the mines now which is what they were trying to avoid , our premier is clutching at his new found stardom , the only place you can go if you are not double vaxed is petrol stations and food drive throughs like maccas and kfc. bloody ridiculous considering what is happening around the world.

our ( WA ) economy has been relatively unscathed until now but these draconian restrictions are starting to bite on small businesses now.

The trouble I think there is with Arden & NZ, is that they are still looking at keeping Covid out. With Omicron, that is going to be nigh on impossible unless they plan to live like a hermit nation and the public realise that, which is why they are turning against her.

Ridiculous that anyone would not be double vaxed, considering what has happened around the world.

It's possible she may not be around for much longer.
I'd heard rumours about her beau being on remand with an ankle bracelet, I dismissed it with a pinch of salt. Then I came across this.

God she's vile.
Hat tilt to the female news presenter for her patience when being talked over

She looks great and she annoys all the right people. What’s not to like?

But not fully until October 2022. Anyone still wanting to travel their before then will still have to self isolate upon arrival.

Dug a massive hole for herself.

NZ is in the middle of nowhere with less than a third of London’s population. Easy to take her stance at the start and get plaudits.

Much harder now…..

The TV presenter that kept asking another question while Ardern was still speaking? You guys are lucky to have her, she is not perfect, but looking around the English speaking world, she stands out as having more balls, intelligence, and class than any other current PM or President.
