Easy 10
Brain dead MUG SHEEP
...Episode IV - A New Hope on DVD.
I'd not seen the film in years, but I have to say, it has just absolutely blown my PANTS off. The digitally remastered picture is a joy to behold - the colours just burst out of the screen and the crisp sharpness of the picture is beyond reality, it is simply perfection. But thats just for starters. The Surround Sound is so thrilling it is bordering on obscene. From the opening shot when that world-famous music bursts from the speakers, you know you're in for a treat. The sound mix and distribution is masterful after those opening credits, as the small rebel ship is pursued by that MASSIVE imperial destroyer - it literally sounds as though it is flying right over your shoulder, and the rumbling base from the sub-woofer jangles the teeth in your head. One of the most pivotel, memorable scenes in 20th Century cinema has somehow been surpassed in its transition. If you're looking for a demo to show off your sound system, then ladies and gentlemen, look no further, this is the ONE.
I have just sat there for two hours drooling withy a moronic grin on my face, as a piece of my childhood was brought back bigger and better than I ever remembered it. Tie fighters screeching round the room, buzzing behind my head, fantastic. What a film, what a story. Still got Empire and ROTJ to watch yet, and I can't wait. If it wasn't so late I'd sit there and watch all three right now, but I can't really crank up the sound at this hour.
If you havn't already got this box set, buy it. NOW. You just don't know how much you NEED it till you experience it.
I need a lie down.
