Even Jamie Oliver would struggle to get away with trilby, flip fliops and roll ups, and he's practically a National Treasure.

Did Arthur Daley wear flip flops with his trilby?

No. No, he didn't.

i reckon (and i've never tried it) but if you went around wearing a trilby with a f*** off decent suit and some cracking shoes, and with enough SWAGGER to pull if off you'd well look the SHIT

anything else=no

Works an absolute treat with the birds.

Correct. Just for you I asked a class of 24 girls today their opinions on the look. They all said it was nice, in fact most of them said that it takes confidence to wear that attire and confidence is a very attractive feature in a male.

They said that if you wear it well and do not feel self conscious (or trying too hard) then you are on to a winner. Good lad.

Therein lies your problem. Eastbourne is chavtastic and hideously small-minded, hence why I moved away at the first opportunity.

Apologies for the faggot remark, btw. Should have put a smilie after. :safeway

Although that in itself is quite a compliment. I would say that I dress pretty 'Gay' but then again the gayers know far more about style and dress than the average hetro. In fact I would say that the fashion that is big in the gay scene filters down into Hetty fashion 6 months-1 year later anyway.

If, you want some top tips of fashion then get yerself to Charles street

If you like well spoken, middle class indie girls in dirty white plimsoles, striped vests, leggings and the odd Jack Wills polo shirt then you will be a happy man.

For anyone on here who knows him - is it possible that SDL just is a twat, regardless of what he wears? (don't hold back now)

I used to wear a trilby 30 years ago complete with a parka , mohair suit and mocassins. Now that was style.
