...actually, hans. i'm going to do a total u-turn. i've just looked at the poster more closely, and i hadn't noticed that the white sheep are actually kicking the black sheep out.

i can see why there was confusion now. yes - racist.

Cheshire Cat

The most curious thing..
It is racist, but even worse its sheepist

EVEN if it were conceived as a non-racist message, it is so obviously suggestive of racism that the person who designed it would have to be a moron not to be aware of it, as would the people who sponsored it, the people who printed it, and the people who put it up - to not notice the implications.
Same goes for anyone who accepts the message and embraces it.

Nothing to do with 'p/c gone mad' - it's flies in the face of correctness altogether, and just exhibits stupidity.

Black sheep is a derogatory colloquialism in the English language meaning an outsider or one who is different in a way which others disapprove of or find odd.

The term originated from the fact that the occasional black sheep will be born into a herd of white sheep. Black sheep were considered undesirable because their wool cannot be dyed, and there weren't enough to make black wool. White is the preferred color for wool as it is most easily dyed and thus easiest to market

Would a child from a Pikey Family that went into the Clergy be considered the black sheep of the family?
