[Albion] Is Poyet to blame for today?

A degree of frustration inevitable, we were so close to all 3 points, but hey, we're work in progress, not the finished article and we are what we can afford so overall, a point away to the form team in the league ain't bad!

I blame Gus - we were getting battered in the first half - really missing Bridcutt and Lua Lua was losing the plot.
2nd half brings on Hammond for Lua Lua - formation changed and we're a different team.

They score so he looks to go on the attack by bringing on Vicente.

Casper has a once-in-a-career howler and as a certain previous manager of both teams said "it only takes a second to score a goal"

So you could criticise Gus for getting it wrong in the first half but how many people have wanted to see Buckley and Lua Lua play in the same team? He saw it wasn't working and changed things around. That's why Gus is manager and I'm not

Gus should not have brought Dunk on

Forest had Henderson, Cox, Sharp and McGoohan up front by that stage, surely it makes sense to counterbalance by bolstering the defence.

The first goal was a deflection, and the second a keeper howler. I agree that we should have closed down Ward for the first goal, he advanced about 60 yards with no one going near him, but that is the responsibility of someone on the pitch, not Poyet.

If people want to knock Gus, why not also give him some credit for taking off Kaz, who had lost his head just before half time, and switching to 4-4-2 in the second half, which made a big difference to our performance.

I think that Gus should be complemented for bringing on Hammond and completely changing the game. We had 3 points in the bag until the error by Casper who until then had played really well but as everybody knows a mistake by a keeper usually means a goal.

He was about to bring on Vicente at 1-1 when we scored. Defensive? I think not.

Exactly , we scored and Vicente was told to put his tracksuit back on. Gus should have introduced Vicente to put Forest on the back foot for the remainder of the game but decided to replace Orlandi with Dunk to soak up the pressure from Forest and the inevitable happened.

Simple question really, is Poyet to blame for being so defensive and negative in the last 15 mins allowing them so much of the ball and not closing down. Really really missed Bridcutt today.

Hopefully Kuszczak is back for Tuesday, Brezovan doesn't fill me with too much confidence

Only one man to blame today unfortunately. Casper. Played great, but if let one through your legs in injury time you ain't sleeping tonight. No one remembers strikers missing open goals but we remember total nightmares as happened today.

HE GETS PAID DECENT MONEY TO SAVE THOSE.

LuaLua was lucky to get away with a yellow as he pushed over the bloke who fouled him , the Forest player who chopped him down got away scot free.

Really?

Our keeper letting a tame shot go between his legs is 'inevitable'?

Come on we all make blunders at work occasionally, the difference is we don't have 28.000 watching us make one these things happen

We were allowing Forest to completely batter us with a probability they would score somehow.

To " blame " for getting us a point against the hottest team in the entire football league ?
and getting us back into the playoffs. Indeed. So yes, he is.

CMS, PIG, Hoskins, Bruno and Bridcutt injured/sick.

Barnes and El Abd suspended.

Playing away to a team who have won six on the bounce.

Winning until keeper makes a woeful error.

Clearly Poyet should do the decent thing and resign.
