All teams go through a dodgy part of the season, for the top 6 it is losing 1 or 2 and drawing games they should win. It really is about how quickly the team recover, if the Albion were to beat Norwich and get decent results against Arsenal and Spuds this conversation would quickly be forgotten.

If he fails, once again, to get us to the the top of the Premier League on Saturday - then it must surely be time to get rid - and get someone like Allardyce in. So, yes, 1 game away from being sacked!

Come on, bouncing these threads out of context is hardly fair or even necessary.
These are heady days, we're all absolutely loving it, we're all dreaming of a European tour next season and wondering how we're going to pay to watch it if it actually happens. Why pick on a stupidly hot-headed post from two and half years ago?

a) It's funny because it shows how fickle football fans can be. Win a few, Potter is God. Lose a few and he's a charlatan (and before you say it, no, not all football fans do react that way)
b) It was literally March this year, not sure why you think it's from 2019
c) I can guarantee than if we go through a similar run this season, a thread full or know-it-alls similar to this one will emerge because lessons are never learned, only repeated - It's a nice reminder

You do realise that at the average distance between earth and Uranus, half way is about 1.25 light HOURS away?
It's quite interesting looking back on that period. Six straight defeats all through February and March.
Ultimately Potter got himself into trouble and, rather spectacularly, out of it again. I used the phrase at the time "ballet with wrestlers". The constant in those defeats was Duffy at the back, no pace in midfield and mostly Maupay up top.
We brought in Mwepu and Caicedo, moved Cucurella to LCB and BOOM. We've genuinely not looked back. That's why I'm happy this season that even though we've lost a couple of star players we have more consistent strength in depth.
Ultimately Potter got himself into trouble and, rather spectacularly, out of it again. I used the phrase at the time "ballet with wrestlers". The constant in those defeats was Duffy at the back, no pace in midfield and mostly Maupay up top.

Interesting timing this thread being bounced now as I've just read Naylor's article in The Athletic about how we've turned things round and managed to get better despite selling Bissouma, Cucurella and Maupay.
A week after this Norwich game we played Arsenal where in my, and Naylor's opinion in this article, things totally changed for us. Caicedo made his debut and we played Trossard at LWB for the first time. We played the fluid 3-4-2-1 ish formation that has worked so well for us ever since with Welbeck up front on his own and supported him with Gross, Mac Allister and Mwepu supporting us from midfield. We really hit on something that day. We freshened things up as we were looking undoubtedly stale before the Arsenal game and it just clicked between the players on the pitch.
Obviously Caicedo has been massive for us but IMO moving Mac Allister deeper and playing Trossard at LWB have been even bigger factors - I firmly believe they're both playing in their best positions. Another massive factor for me is Welbeck being trusted to play up front on his own, something he has never really done due to tactics or injury but again he is really suited to it.
I think we will look back on that Arsenal game as being a huge moment in progression.

Think Tony realised during the first season that GP has everything in his psychological toolbox to turn around a number of negative results. It has happened a couple of times since then and each time the team has come out of it stronger than before.
So you're saying Junior could've been to Uranus and back countless times by now?
