Not really. As long as we get our new stadium and are still financially stable.

although none of us want to go down personally i dont think it would be a disaster. as we are currently doing better than expected considering the resourse we have.
but either way we should still give the team all our support.

It certainly wouldnt be much fun but as long as we could offload some high earners and replace them with talented youth who could gain experience i reckon we could have a good squad for league 1. Easier said than done though i admit!

Really? I dont think it is.

Kids for a quid would be less effective so gates would be down, League 1 is a competitive League, we wouldn' get back out without spending money, which we're lead to believe we don't have. Going down would be a disaster, which is why MM is trying to keep us up. If going down doesn't matter shall we just not play any more games this season save on appearance fees and (god forebid) goal bonuses or clean sheet bonuses.

A disaster? No. A huge disappointment? Yes. I know the Hereford ghost gets dragged out rather too much, but look where they are now. That could have been us, and that would have been a disaster.

Barrel of Fun

Abort, retry, fail
Would our better young players (Hinshelwood) want to stay if they are not as tested as they could be???

I don't think it would be a disaster, but we would be more than likely to lose a player or two on the way, which might well happen anyway.

That's silly, we'd be thrown out of the league. Nobody want's us to go down but there are more important things than staying up.

League one is a mare to get out of as there are some very good teams in it.

The club would get less money from sky and less prize money.

Withdean is empty at the moment, can you imagine yeovil on a wet tuesday in a mid table clash?

exactly - having the attitude that going down isnt a disaster is just asking for trouble

I agree no one wants us to come down, and i'm not actually suggesting that we don't try and stay up. What i am saying is that going down cant be seen as anything but a negative, we'd lose the remaining decent young players we have. We'd lose gate receipts as Kinky said Yeovil on a Tuesday night much less fair weathers there. We need to stay in this division for our financial survival and for the development of our young side. Of course i could be talking bollox.

However adding to what I said, spend out of our means is a big no no, it needs to be balanced between what brighton would lose IF they went down.

I agree but the thread title is would it be a disaster?, and I don't think it would.
