Redhead said:Kids for a quid would be less effective so gates would be down, League 1 is a competitive League, we wouldn' get back out without spending money, which we're lead to believe we don't have. Going down would be a disaster, which is why MM is trying to keep us up. If going down doesn't matter shall we just not play any more games this season save on appearance fees and (god forebid) goal bonuses or clean sheet bonuses.
dougdeep said:That's silly, we'd be thrown out of the league. Nobody want's us to go down but there are more important things than staying up.
dougdeep said:Not really. As long as we get our new stadium and are still financially stable.
Redhead said:I agree no one wants us to come down, and i'm not actually suggesting that we don't try and stay up. What i am saying is that going down cant be seen as anything but a negative, we'd lose the remaining decent young players we have. We'd lose gate receipts as Kinky said Yeovil on a Tuesday night much less fair weathers there. We need to stay in this division for our financial survival and for the development of our young side. Of course i could be talking bollox.
dougdeep said:I agree but the thread title is would it be a disaster?, and I don't think it would.
