Is it because Greer is Scottish?

He never has a bad game so it doesn't get noticed when he is outstanding, although I've introduced about 6 friends to the Albion in the last season or so and all of them have commented on how well Greer had played where it just seems I'm used to it and expect it from him

Greer is the biggest factor other than GP in our recent successes in my book.

Do you remember the longs days without a CB? Hawkins FFS?

Greer is the best leader, captain and center back we've had since Danny Cullip was in his prime.

Once again, it would appear that our captain has played an absolute blinder to help us gain three precious points. Time for the North Stand hardcore to invent a new chant in his honour? Gordon Greer, we salute you.

El-Abd, Dunk and Elphick all had good seasons last season but, as witnessed during his suspensions, GG hauls them up another level. For me he is without a doubt Gus' most influencial signing. You can see why the club pursued him so aggressively.

Agree, this season he has really moved up a gear. One of our best performers.

"Gordon Greer is shit. Sideways move. We've got a better 19 year old anyway etc etc"
