Agree with Rookie - our defence seemed strangely content to back off and allow far too much space for the opposition to get into a crossing or shooting position. The danger signs were there from the start today when Ankergren flapped at a cross with a feeble punch that should have been punished. Our early frailties raised Ipswich's game and time after time Bullard was allowed space near our box and could have pulled the trigger. Ankergren made one brilliant save. Bowyer had some good touches (until he reverted to the niggly stuff) and was bossing midfield with Bullard. We weren't really at the races for the first 50 minutes but somehow stuck it out.

From our perspective sadly Dicker was a non entity and caught in possession too often. Bridders was ok. CMS and Barnes rarely threatened or linked up. Vicente showed some classy touches and his goal was superb. For a brief few minutes after that Vicente started to take the game to Ipswich. A second Albion goal at that point could have been pivotal. But then just as we should have been shutting them out Chopra was allowed far too much space for a well taken equaliser and within minutes we were 3-1 down. Sonko was surrounded by green and back shirts but had a comfortable header for their 2nd, far too easy. Again Chopra was given time and space to place his shot for the 3rd. We did open them up a bit late on but the final touch wasn't there and the real number of decent chances for the Albion could be counted on one hand.

A very curious performance that to be honest got what it deserved. We seem to surrender the initiative too easily and our defence looks frail. A few games ago we were frightening premiership and championship sides but now it is us that look frightened. Talking to some Tractor Boys later they had some positives about our style and thought we would offer more of a threat but could not believe our defence and keeper. On a positive note they were very complimentary about the noise created by Albion fans. Gus needs to get a grip very quickly or we could become whipping boys.
