Seems to be $290 (£182) on Amazon US, or £224 from Amazon UK.

However not sure how much postage etc costs.

I'm not sure you'll be able to buy off amazon.com, it will force you to buy through amazon.co.uk and you'll have to pay the UK price. Even if you can kid it that you are in the USA, when you put in your delivery address it will stop you.

Seems to suggest it's the new one (Retina display, facetime etc.)
£224 on Amazon down from £249 as part of their 10% deal.

Mine has facetime, camera... not sure about the other. The screen is very very cler and sharp.

Love Apple product but my iPod touch died after only 14 months. The only time I have ever been let down by Apple goods. Will probably replace with a Classic, as I only need it for music playback and my older model ran and ran every day until some nob nicked it.

Go back to Apple and ask for a new one. They'll say 'no'. Start a small claims court action against them and they'll cave and give you a new one.

A chum did exactly that.

These things should last longer than 14 months.

Bozza's Amazon link is obviously the best way to get one if you're not going to be in the US any time soon.

If you can get one from the States somehow, though, they are significantly cheaper - think the RRP for 32GB is $299 in US, which is £187 at current rates. That's £60 cheaper than RRP here.

theres no way you should have to fork out yourself, as another poster says dont swallow the cost lightly.

I have a Ipod Touch too, Love it. Good battery, reliable and tonnes of apps. and waterproof up to 1000ft

Bullshit, mine got water damaged by the rain

I'd recomend an iPod Touch, however any Android tablets (such as the 5 inch or 3.2 inch Atheros ones that are going) would also act as a slightly more morally correct and a much wider user supported and ran community rather than apple approved and sealed alternative where apps are concerned.

Thanks guys, an iPod Touch it is then. I think that having less storage space will probably force me to rationalise my music into what I actually want rather than just treating it as a portable hard drive that needs filling.

I am quite comfortable being morally corrupt and going with the corporate monster that is Apple!

Meopham, Kent.
Got my boy one for his birthday, and he very rarely puts it down. Within a week I'd downloaded so many podcasts onto it that I had to get myself a nano as I was never going to be able to listen to them, because he was never off it.

Keep meaning to look into getting tv programmes / films onto it. Is there a cheaper way of doing it than through the i-store or whatever it's called.

You can get programmes from Iplayer onto it pretty easily by using
po-ru.com: iPlayer Downloader

On podcasts its worth getting Podcaster as you can't subscribe to podcasts on a touch without connecting it to a PC.

 Yes the waterproof remark was not a joke then?
