internet porn

I'm not too worried yet. It's only proposed, there's a good chance it won't happen, just look at minimum alcohol pricing.
If if it does happen it will (hopefully) take years to put into place, over three years in the future is not a concern of mine.
If the worst should happen, there will be lots of workarounds without opting out, and probably 'clean' porn websites will emerge that aren't blocked by this filter, at least for a certain amount of time.

Ever since I heard about this I have been trying to work out what exactly I'm going to say to the wife. I would imagine plenty of other blokes are thinking about that awkward conversation they'll be having soon.

'Hi Love, bloody internets down again! I'm just going to give these cowboys a call. A piece of my mind like!'

.........walks in garden..........

'(whispers) Hello BT Bloke old chap. Pop me old rhythm filter in the bin shaped file would you. Ta'

.........walks back to house........

'Heads banging love I'm turning in. Night'

Fill in blanks :)

These are the hotels that pipe you porn on the pay channels, yes ?

Yes. Although it doesn't look good to have an evening's viewing of Anal Cum Sluts 4 on your expenses bill, so I just hope that the hotels don't default the filters to on.

If only I knew a group of people who could help me bypass such regulations.

This isn't about porn however it's dressed up, it's about being able to control what information we have access to.
Emotive words and arguments will be used by those who are trying to bring this in, making the Daily Mail readers believe the BS and back it.
How long after that will certain non pornographic sites be put on the opt in/out list, independent news sites? bloggers? and so on.

Welcome to China.

Disgraceful idea. I do not view porn but I shall turn the filter off to not be censored as it would be my right to watch it if I wanted to.

damn right, it's all about what others deem is acceptable for people to watch. Drug use and violence is next, then how to make a bomb or suicide methods. Before you know it you'll only be able to find Premiership football results on the net.

Opting in on principle alone. This "think of the children" smokescreen is a joke

This is a black day. As terrible as when I was nine and lost access to the lingerie section of the Freemans catalogue at my parents' house.

It is not socially acceptable to be a wanker anymore which comes from the biggest wanker of them all, David Cameron. Lol.
