Come on, you know full well they won't give a shit about that, and why would they? We wouldn't give a flying f***
Absolutely. Would happily accept finishing below them with the FA Cup in the trophy cabinet.

They've won a major trophy and comfortably beat us in both Derby games.

On which basis, I doubt any Palace fan gives a flying f**k about us finishing above them.
Correct.

It's almost as feeble as seeing your rivals take 4 points off you over the season and marching through Europe at some of the biggest away days imaginable. And then when they are on the beach, display that you've finished one place above them on the jumbotron.

On that basis, I won't be celebrating finishing above them. They've had their day in the sun. Let's hope next season the fixture pile-up turns them into Spurs except that they finish one place lower.

Winning a cup would be amazing, and I’d gladly take it over league position (as long as it’s not 18th-20th), but some of the post-match stuff posted on here on Saturday about them suddenly being better than us was a load of bollocks. The league table doesn’t lie after 37 matches, and that’s with us having had the worst injury record of any team in the PL.

Yep, was about to post something similar but less eloquent.

When we win the European Conference League next season - will that be a 'better' win than the FA Cup?
In terms of difficulty of opposition, we wouldn’t face any team as good as Chelsea or Newcastle, whom we beat just to get to the QFs. However, having the stamina and squad depth to be able to go deep in Europe while competing domestically does make it a significant achievement for the winner. The prestige of a continental trophy is definitely a factor.

We’re clutching at straws.

Ok , Palace got their ugly cup final win aided by inept officials but I think they may well struggle next season.

Let’s face it when do Palace have a comfortable season, often resorting getting a footballing fossil in to scrape over the line, Big Sam, Hodgson, Pullis the list goes on.
