Crystal Palace will finish below Brighton in the league.
And we might still get a second qualification for Europe, something they can only dream ofCrystal Palace will finish below Brighton in the league.
Such a shame we haven't got a chance still at the EPL. Both of us in the same European competition would have been quite something. And we might still get a second qualification for Europe, something they can only dream of
I’m happy to clutch at any straws I can after putting up with the gleeful Palace fan at work todayCome on, you know full well they won't give a shit about that, and why would they? We wouldn't give a flying f***
Absolutely. Would happily accept finishing below them with the FA Cup in the trophy cabinet.Come on, you know full well they won't give a shit about that, and why would they? We wouldn't give a flying f***
Correct. They've won a major trophy and comfortably beat us in both Derby games.
On which basis, I doubt any Palace fan gives a flying f**k about us finishing above them.
It would do me fineWhen we win the European Conference League next season - will that be a 'better' win than the FA Cup?
I'd tell their fans that it was on a par, and of course we'd have finally won a major trophy. But it isn't really - I'd much rather win the FA Cup.When we win the European Conference League next season - will that be a 'better' win than the FA Cup?
We had an absolute arse of arse of a draw in the cup this year. Hope we can get a couple of easy rides along the way next time round.Absolutely. Would happily accept finishing below them with the FA Cup in the trophy cabinet.
Yep, was about to post something similar but less eloquent.Correct.
It's almost as feeble as seeing your rivals take 4 points off you over the season and marching through Europe at some of the biggest away days imaginable. And then when they are on the beach, display that you've finished one place above them on the jumbotron.
On that basis, I won't be celebrating finishing above them. They've had their day in the sun. Let's hope next season the fixture pile-up turns them into Spurs except that they finish one place lower.
In terms of difficulty of opposition, we wouldn’t face any team as good as Chelsea or Newcastle, whom we beat just to get to the QFs. However, having the stamina and squad depth to be able to go deep in Europe while competing domestically does make it a significant achievement for the winner. The prestige of a continental trophy is definitely a factor. When we win the European Conference League next season - will that be a 'better' win than the FA Cup?
