If you go and get lashed every Friday (which you will want to do) then you'll either be too wasted to get out of bed much before 1 on a Satdi or if you're a lucky little sailor you'll have to wait for the Rat to get out of bed and leave, which can take a while particularly if you're a good shag and she's a minger.
My advice is to keep it easy - aim to get out of bed by 2pm, saunter down the bookies, bang on a couple of spread bets to keep it interesting and then get in the pub for 3 to watch Soccer Saturday. Stay in the pub until after full time and then celebrate/drown your sorrows with a few beers before heading out to your favourite club...

Good luck mate. You should have a good time but you'll end up in exactly the same job at the end of that course than you would if you got one now.
I went to Southampton (The good one!!) with the intention of coming back each week for footie. About £11 (bunkable on the train) and there is one that leaves 9 and gets into Brighton at 11.
Didn't last long though. When Micky Adams left I got a train to Huddersfield and didn't go back! I thought Southampton the place was wank. But I've got friends at the Institute that like it there. If you want any contacts I can introduce you to some of them.
My mates bird went there this year but left after someone got murdered, her mate got mugged and Southampton is generally a shithole!
And you'll have to put up with DTES(Pants Seagull).
