sold out all 22,000 seats for a home game yesterday, we would have had the second lowest attendance in the Premiership.

Is Falmer going to be big enough if we really have Premiership aspirations? :glare:

22,00 is a lovely size- if we fill it it will be extremely and noisy if we dont it wont seem too empty. Any lower would appear unambitious but im worried we'd do a Stoke, Reading or Wigan (shit attendances and atmos) if we have a bigger attendance.

We can't even sell 6000 seats at Withdean so how will we sell 22000 at Falmer for Conference football ?

You forgot these

See Reading managed another huge gate yesterday :lolol:

22,000 is a good size. And I dare say the club will find the money to extend a bit after we've won back to back championships and are preparing to host Real Madrid in the Champions League.!

what a pointless thread, clutching at straws!

who knows, (if, but, why,) what we'll get when we get falmer! at the moment we cant sell out withdean, and that will change obviously once we get to the promised land! but whats the point of discussing it now?

Unless the stadium can be easily extended (hardly likely to get permission easily at a later stage ) I think it's a missed opportunity (any potential England games, Euro etc if we ever get it again - Brighton would be a great venue). Similar sized cities (Leicester, Southampton, etc) have built bigger. And have staged internationals. That's my point.

Hull City have a much large support base then we do and there new ground only holds 26,000 which has not stopped them getting under 21 games hosted there.
