If dunk goes it will be to a bigger club than saints. They’re about us big as us, these days.

Only logical move for Dunk would be a) to a bigger club that would pay him shitloads more and b) one that gets him a better chance of playing for England

i.e not Saints.

With £75 million burning a hole in the Southampton coffers ? ???

They'll have to go at least to £50 million as they can afford it !

Can’t see Dunk going to Southampton unless the club accept an offer, which would have to be a bit more than £25M for me... over 30. Would be a big risk for a sideways move

Clubs will wait until Season end before bidding on any of our players.
If we get relegated then offers like that will occur.
Players like Dunk will never play another Championship game.

True. A career is too short for Dunk to go back to Championship football in his mid/late 20's. He would move on.

The same with Stephens and Gross.

When (I'm sure it will happen, but hopefully not before the end of the season) Dunk leaves, I hope he goes to a big, big club. Arsenal or Liverpool were my favourites before today, so Arsenal would be my guess now.

He'll probably earn 3 times what he earns with us, go on to play for England, and has a chance to win things.

He should go with our blessings, and hopefully the best part of £50 million coming the other way.

If Van Dijk is worth £75m then Dunk is worth £150m.

Van Dijk is a very average defender.

Given that it's pantomimr season............. "Oh no he's not!"

He was out for half of last season - injured in january 2016 when the thug Vardy stamped on his foot. Before that he was excellent. His performances this season have only been since his "head was turned".

Dunk will get sold for whatever the release clause is in his contract. Either that or we will give him another one on more money if it's a shithouse club like Saints that is about where we are in the grand scheme of things.
