Harris and Blitzer are really the only game in town, who else would want to buy with these voting rights, this is unlikely to mean a lower value. Does Textor really need the money? If not just hang in there, Europe will be a one off anyway
He's a business man so I agree, why sell in a fire sale when it might be better to hang on. He's going to be persona non grata in South London anyway. It also begs the question why Blitzer/Harris didn't buy his shares earlier in the season when he was looking to sell when he realized he couldn't wrestle control from Beaky? (despite the fact that Beaky only has 10% of shares, if that).

Still a lot of deluded fools on Holmesdale.net saying how it's unfair, how the rules shouldn't apply to them, how it's due to UEFA corruption. God, they have some dumb fans - failing to grasp why Forest's ownership situation is different, etc.

Why can't they see their owners have dropped an almighty clanger? Other clubs took steps to ensure they wouldn't be in this position and will be quite rightly peed off if Palace are let off the hook.
Too be fair, after Henderson wasn't sent off for pawing the ball away from Haaland outside the box, you can understand why they think the rules don't apply to them.

I've heard some Palace fans talking about Blitzer/ Harris buying out Textor and then selling straight back once they're knocked out in the group stage. Is that really viable?

Textor has f**ked this up and he clearly had no idea he had, the melon!
No, Beaky has fukked up. He is their CEO and it is on him to ensure that the only club he has invested in is compliant.
Matt Lawton does make a very good point, that selling his 43% share with 25% voting rights will make it very difficult to sell to anyone.
I thought it was pretty open that they have been looking for new investment for some time. Perhaps the only viable candidates are Beaky and Donna and Blitzen?
But the bit I continue not to understand in this saga is that multiple people are suggesting that a share sale will resolve the issue, when UEFA's rules seem VERY clear that the rules have to be adhered to by 1st March. It would seem that if Textor sells all or some of his holding in June, this will still be contrary to UEFA's rules.

Surely Palace's only option is to demonstrate that Textor doesn't have influence or control over Palace - and in particular that he is not "able to exercise by any means a decisive influence in the decision-making of the club." Presumably that is their argument.....although the fact that Textor (by all accounts) had a significant influence on the decision to appoint Glasner would seem to undermine that. I'm assuming there is a whole load or boring evidence gathering at the momrent (for example, Palace supplying the minutes for all their Board meetings, etc [let's hope someone isn't quietly editing them for UEFA's consumption!!]
I sense that UEFA have taken pity on Palace and have found a clause that allows a special club some discretionary extra time to sort themselves out. It very much sounds like it is time limited and the only option is to clear Texter out. Many of the thickos have been after that for ages, so it could end up extra nice for them if it pans out.

Anyway, isn't it a good job that Beaky got their new stand sorted before this humiliating episode?

Isn’t European qualification via the FA Cup, solely to the Europa League?
Does it say anywhere in UEFA rules, if you are disqualified from aEL qualification for any reason, that you can then go into the lesser tournament?

If this were to happen, i hope our club would be threatening all sorts of legal action against UEFA.

And, that’s even without the Bronby situation.

It's fascinating to read that L'Equipe article of 6 June that while the Palace saga trundles on, Textor's Eagle Holdings group needs to raise money for Lyon before their hearing on 24th June with French football's financial watchdog DNCG.

Textor was planning to transfer 3 players (Jesus, Jair, Cuiabano) from fellow group company club Botofogo to...Nottingham Forest. The profits are controlled by Eagle Holdings as a group, not Botofogo.

Similarly, Forest's Marinakis and Textor have agreed deals to transfer 2 Forest players to Lyon (Danilo, Matt Turner), the pair having done business the previous summer when Forest transferred Mangala and Niakhate to Lyon.

Given Textor's stake in Lyon dwarfs his stake in Palace, and given Lyon's financing are in urgent state of repair, his top priority is to raise cash for Lyon.

This whole situation shines a light on multi-club ownership generally, because if Textor sells Brazilian talent to Forest he is helping to strengthen a divisional rival of Palace.

Imagine how Albion fans would feel if Hearts or USG had quality players and Tony Bloom was instrumental in selling them to Forest, a club who have leapfrogged us, taken a European spot that we were aiming for and - in the future - could lock up 7th spot and European qualification.

Could Textor possibly have had his Palace hat on when we enquired unsuccessfully about Cuiabano 🤔

Has anything new happened in the last 30 pages or is it all just wishful thinking jibber jabber?

The trial’s just concluded, here’s the Wiki summary;

Between 2024 and 2025, Crystal Palace qualified for many cup competitions across Europe, inflicting 27 million goals in the Premier League alone. Proposals for how to punish the defeated Crystal Palace leaders ranged from a show trial (UEFA) to summary executions (Brighton and Hove Albion).

Steve Parish has been sentenced to live out the rest of his days at Spandau Prison.

Wilfred Zaha has been sentenced in absentia.
