Can you imagine being a Brondby fan, thinking you're in Europe, and then finding out that due to some f*ck up by Crystal Palace you get chucked out and replaced by the very team that made the f*ck up!
Yeah there is no way they wouldn't immediately instigate legal proceedings.

Isn't it David Blitzer who has a share in Brondby?

No, not buying that as cheating, unless that also includes the name changes that brighton have undergone recently

Oh, sorry, I am sure they are all legitimate and above board, as Brighton are such a well run club

So no Europe for us next season, and congratulations in advance for winning the Conference league next season.

Until then, have you ever seen the Brighton win a cup?
Yes, I've seen Brighton win several cups.

Brighton and Hove Albion have always been Brighton and Hove Albion since its formation in 1901.

Please explain the history of cheating. I have already had a couple of lessons here, but not history I think
Google AI Overview

Evolution of "Cheating":

The term "cheat" has a history rooted in feudal law, where it referred to property forfeiture to the crown. Over time, its meaning shifted to include unfairness, deception, and eventually, sexual infidelity.

The earliest recorded use of "cheater" in a deceptive context is around 1530, when Henry VIII's steward at Hampton Court stole the King's money to finance his own dance party at nearby Kew Gardens.

The unfortunate custodian of the Palace was found guilty of handling a ball outside the area and promptly hung by the neck until dead.

Shouldn't we have a separate thread for all those who "feel sorry" for Palace if they get kicked out of Europe for failings entirely of their own making? Their ownership couldn't be arsed to read, or couldn't understand. the clear rules that our owner had to adhere to.

This is Palace. We really don't need an orchestra of violins.
Er.... see post 1030.

I think this is a reference to a minor code switch in the accounts a couple of years back. Are you making a libelous claim that it was cheating ?
Oh, sorry, I am sure they are all legitimate and above board, as Brighton are such a well run club
This is correct

So no Europe for us next season, and congratulations in advance for winning the Conference league next season.
I suspect Palace will play in Europe and yes, winning the Conference League would be possible for any team down to top half of the Championship
Until then, have you ever seen the Brighton win a cup?
A few. Including the Oxford Benevolent Cup in 1985. You'll never sing that.

In that case it won't take them until the end of the month to decide, then.

..................................... oh!

(and if the rules just stated that, without all the extra bumph they've shovelled in, it wouldn't be complicated!)

Even if it’s was straight forward decision UEFA will wait for the lawyers to ratify any decision they make before it is made public.

The last two seasons the announcement about clubs in multi-club ownership passing all checks and being allowed to play has come in early July. So considering this is probably a more complex case for UEFA an announcement at the end of the month doesn’t seem unreasonable.

More likely the’ve already decided and are giving the lawyers a couple of weeks to ratify it
