I have a feelingy that Beaky has a golden vote, so whatever he says goes. That would explain why Texter is getting all pissy-knickered - puts the most cash in but can't get anything he wants done.
Read back over the thread. He has a casting vote. So, if Harris, Textor and Blitzer vote for something there is nothing Parish can do. However if it is a split vote, ie 2v2, then Parish's vote is the casting one. As I have referenced before, it's exactly like the voting on Strictly in that Shirley Ballas has the casting vote if the judges vote is split. The split of shares is widely reported as Textor 45%, Harris 18%, Blitzer 18% and Parish 10%. There are, I believe other shareholders but they don't hold any voting rights.

I can't believe the media narrative being peddled now. Kavel Solehkol giving an emotive plea live on Sky Sports News how unfair and ridiculous it would for Palace to lose their Europa spot without ANY consideration to the other arguments/points. The other side to the Palace sob story:

- Other clubs sorted their ownership models by March 1st bar Forest who at least did it by April.
- If Uefa let Palace in, then their rules won't hold up in the future for any other club
- If Uefa let Palace in, then they will have other clubs using the legal route against them, notably the mad Greek at Forest.
- He also peddled that quite frankly absurd point that how could Palace possible know they were going to win the FA cup by March 1st (everyone in NSC knew that mate)? Umm well, they were in the Quarter Finals on that day!
  • They got through to the semi's on March 1st so could have sorted their multi-club ownership then
  • They won the semi's on April 26th - still nothing
  • They won the FA cup on May 17th - still nothing
  • Between winning the cup on May 17th to June 3rd (nearly 3 weeks) when they had their 'emergency meeting' with Uefa they still haven't sorted their multi club model
That prat Kavel Solehko also saying that Crystal Palace and and their fans won't take that lying down. What does that mean?

Now the BBC are arguing that it is disproportionate? What do they know? They say that Palace don't benefit from the multi cub model. Ummm Parish confirmed that they did in an interview last year posted on this thread. They loan players to these clubs. Textor got Glasner in from all accounts. Textor's funds are massively required by Palace.

Beaky's Smoke and Mirrors nonsense is quite possibly going through a PR campaign and selling their sob story. The fact of the matter is, the four owners are only in it for themselves (Parish) and the monetary returns they get from Palace (the three Americans). It's why they are in this mess.

The hoodie clad bell-shiners will put on extra scathing anti-UEFA displays at home games for a few weeks and performative demonstrations lamenting 'the state of modern football'.

There may even be cut-throat gestures :drama:

A strongly worded letter of protest has worked well for the Always Ultras before, I seem to recall.

I'm sure Uefa are well aware that whilst Textor's voting rights are only 25%, that's the same as Parish, Blitzer and Harris!
👍🏻 Yes, can we stop with the narrative that he’s only got 25% voting rights, he’s the ultimate beneficiary owner with EQUAL voting rights

I can only imagine Shirley Ballas’s name was mentioned several times during Palace’s meeting with UEFA earlier this week.

There is the same problem with the Conference league as another director of Palace has shares in Blunby (Denmark).
If UEFA decide they can't play in the Europa League due to their ownership set up, then they can probably drop down to the Conference league instead (with Forest taking their Europa Spot and we still miss out on Europe)

The Director with shares in the Danish Club only has somewhere around 10 to 18% of shares in Palace, so under the 30% cut off meaning it's still a viable option surely ?

EDIT - Just seen that it's 2 palace Directors that have Shares in the Danish club, not just one and so it might be more than the 30% when combined depending on the true figure of percentage of shares owned in Palace

Correct. An interview with him in the Athletic in May 24. It suggests he doesn't make the decisions but I doubt they can prove this.

They can’t drop down because of bronby

Personally I would not want to take their place. They earned it…..we did not !
FFS!!! Any European football benefits US, BHA, with financial and sporting gains, at the detriment of our arch RIVALS. How can you think like this?! You clearly don't understand our history and club if you would prefer they get Europe over us. Just winds me up no end reading all these pathetic pro Palarse posts feeling sorry for them.

Utter joke. 8th could have been Europe, so, yes, we deserve it.

That's what i was referring to originally, and if the investors there happen to hold under 30% in Palace (combined in terms of percentage of shares owned) then don't they come in under the threshold for multi-club ownership in UEFA's rules meaning they could drop down ?

I saw something saying they owned 10% each, however some on here have suggested that at least one of those has more than that at something like 18% in Palace, and the other may have more than 10% too, and if high enough it would take them back over the 30% limit (Need the real figures for their ownership percentages to see if they are over or under that total, and whether it rules them out from dropping down to the conference league competition)

Just reading that BBC article, I hadn’t realised that the only reason Lyon finished in the Europe League position was because of a 90th minute goal conceded by Strasbourg on the last day of the season, meaning Strasbourg finished below Lyon. In fact, checking further, it was a 99th minute goal!!

If this all ends up with Palace losing their European spot, imagine their added horror when they realise an ex-Brighton favourite was managing Strasbourg when that happened 😊

That isn’t quite right. That 99th min goal meant Lyon finished above Strasbourg, but Lyon would have qualified for the Conference League. PSG then won the French Cup which bumped Lyon up to the Europa League and Strasbourg then got the place in the Conference.

If Palace were kicked out, would Textor have to go and apologise to the Ultras on the pitch like teams who lose have to in France?
