I have nothing but praise for scottish paul et al in the ticket office itself, hes a king, but the online ticket system and therefore the club`s efforts in getting this right is sadly yet again lacking, an all too familiar story. There are two main bug bears I have with it so far, and its got nothing to do with not being able to log on cos its busy, you`ll get that whatever tickets you want to buy that are popular, whether its a football match, a concert or whatever.

1) They have my two sons down as both adults for the spurs and gillingham games but have them as u16s for the eastbourne boro game, I only wanted the gillingham game tickets so if i want to buy them as it stands ive got to overpay then be reimbursed, which is farcical seeing as the club have had months to get this right. Ive sent them an email for them to correct it before i purchase, so as not to get into all that rubbish, but i shouldnt have had to, especially when they inexplicably got it right for one of the games?!!!.

2) The system pulls in all your friends and families tickets that are linked to your account, however if you arent purchasing for any of these people, you have to click and remove each ticket individually from your panel for that individual game. Its not a big problem for me, as ive only got a couple linked, but one of our sth mates we go with has about 15 people linked to his because he used to arrange all the away game tickets then we`d pay him back so we could all sit together. Therefore, if he is only buying for himself, hes got to click and remove about 15 tickets from the panel for every match individually, before buying his own and the likelihood it will time out before he`s completed it is very high.

Why they havent got a tick box system to highlight each ticket you are not buying, then only click "remove ticket" once is beyond me.

Just received this email re Amex cards not working online.....

"Hello,

Many thanks for your email.

Unfortunately Amex cards aren’t being accepted at the moment for online sales. This is something that is set to be rectified asap. In the meantime, you can use your Amex card for telephone bookings.

Many thanks,

Hang on, you reckon it'll time him out because he can't remove all FIFTEEN of his friends and family in THIRTY minutes? How long does it take to take ONE person off? Not having a pop, just wondering.

I said the same thing - I think it's a toss of a coin as to whether 'include all friends and family' or not is the right way to go. If there is a group of 15 of you and you all (or most of you) want to go to a game then being included up front will save you time.

But the usability of the remove function is very clunky for big groups.

So was I, so I phone up customer services this morning and they've sorted it out for me. Couldn't you just do the same?

Why are so many people AMAZED that the ticketing system struggled to cope? Personally, I don't see the problem. You can't reproduce stress testing very easily, and in this case, with several days remaining before the games are even played, there is plenty of time to sort out all issues, whether with the ticketing arrangements or the site itself.

Call the hotline - admittedly it took me 40 minutes to get through, but once there all sorted out in less then 5 minutes, and very pleasant he was too.

45 minutes into my lunch hour and I'm in position 8 after 45 minutes waiting.

I work in IT mate and I would sacked straight away if I put this system live in any capacity.
