As a Croydonian born and bred I think your analogy to the surroundings of Selhurst is pure vindictive bile.
Most Brighton fans I think accept now that this pure unblinkered dislike of Palace is old hat, and that we all have better things to do.
Palace do have a problem atm, that problem is Simon Jordan. But a football club is bigger than one man, or two if you want to remember the Archer/Bellotti days.
If we get a manager like Steve Coppell, the future is good, we're only one division away from the big-time and we've spent a total of a over dozen seasons there. We've pulled home crowds of up to 50,000 and regularly got over 25,000 in the top league.
Let's just see what crowds you actually get in at Falmer, shall we?

It's easy to get 25k+ in the top league. I'll point you back to attendances in the 70's and 80's.
