I'm pleased with this. Really like the guy. NJ set the team up brilliantly at Fulham so let's hope he becomes 1st team coach. Hughton does actually now how to win football matches, something Sami could sadly never grasp. We'll be safe by Easter!

I know a few Birmingham fans, when I asked about him they said we're lucky if we get him and they would have him back as manager any time. He's very well thought of there and they played decent football under him.

The immediate priority is survival and Im sure Houghton should be able to do that...... my concerns are more long term. Hiughton has never been able to follow through with initial success. Perhaps he can at the Albion. He has my 100% support. Onwards and upwards.

The same Norwich fans that Got relegated that season after HUGHTON got sacked after steering them to 17th in the prem and 5 points clear of the drop zone, I recall ALBION fans in 82 moaning about boring football under Mike Bailey after getting us our highest ever finish 13th in the (prem,league 1) was then sacked for following season and we got relegated

Indeed, an experienced guy can adapt (SH had none so thought it clever to stick to one 'system') and use the ingredients he has to find the best way too use them.

Indeed and I am sure that Pulis' style of football would not have been too dissimilar to that which I expect Hughton to employ.
I think some people have got carried away with the win at Fulham. Jones was in charge for 2 games, one was poor and one was brilliant and now people think he should be given the chance based on one game. The team have played well quite a few times this season, just not consistently and have failed to put the ball in the net. Chris will set us up so at least we are not leaking goals at the back and hopefully get some players in who can score and create goals. He will also have a better chance of attracting players to the club.

I'm pretty happy with this appointment. Pulis would have excited me more, but was, imo, never a realistic target for us. I'd have slightly preferred Brian McD to Hughton, but am more than content with Hughton.
I wonder how long Nathan will stick around. He's had a taster of the #1 job and is widely regarded as having made a success of the two games. He's said himself that's he's ambitious. He's gonna want a #1 job at some point, isn't he? It wouldn't surprise me at all if he went for a L1/L2 manager's job at some point in the next year. Ironically, I think him leaving is more likely if Hughton is successful with us than if he is unsuccessful, since that will make it more likely that Hughton stays for a decent length of time. Sincere thanks, Nathan, for the two games you were in charge - you inherited a team 4 points short of safety and passed on a team that is currently safe. That's a result.

Really pleased with this appointment and a sound decision by the club. Do not understand those labelling his football as boring as his Newcastle promotion season they were a great team to watch. Let's not read too much into the comments of norwich fans who hounded him out of the club when they were midtable and went on to be relegated
It astounds me that people form an opinion of how our team are going to play before we have even kicked a ball. Let's give the guy a chance shall we!!!
