Ok a bit of forward looking and purely fantasy at the moment. But just think of the day when Brighton play their first match at Falmer. Any rituals, watering holes, meeting up places, how you will feel etc.
I will be attending that game with my little daughter who will then be 3 years old. I will have already kitted both her and myself out in the latest Brighton kit.
It will be her first game. She's too young to go to the pub. Just the thought of taking her on the train amongst all of you and other supporters. Chanting on the train. Chanting at Falmer station.
Then the walk to the stadium. I would probably have seen it already before, but not with thousands of other supporters mingling around. A visit to the stadium club shop would be in order.
Then into the stadium to sit in our seats. Looking around, marvelling at everything, reading the souvenir programme.
Then just before kick off, Dick Knight appears to address the supporters. My god, will I gave him some cheer and applause and then the moment comes. Brighton players appear for kick off. Good old Sussex by the Sea being played by a brass band.
I will hold my little girl up, so that she can see. I will be so proud. Proud of myself and those around me, proud for my little girl who hopefully will not have to suffer these shit years. Then, the moment will get to me emotionally and no doubt a few tears will be shed. I dont think there will be too many dry eyes in the ground.
perhaps you'll have a proper job by then?
I think the walk from the Goldstone to Falmer via Withdean is a great idea. I've not been back to the Goldstone since we left but, once falmer is built, I hope we can then mark our existance at The Goldstone.
Not a bronze statue though, the pikeys might nick it!
Obviously it will be great whatever the game, but it would feel like it would mean more if it were a league game as opposed to a friendly.
Circa 57 games left at Withdean!

I think we need a "countdown clock".
