I'm curious to know why you (and the others who voted similarly) feel the number could be so low? The economy I guess?

Depends on the division. I also think people will need to get back used into the habit and the lost generations will need to be won over.

While Brighton fans who are used to going will realise this is good pricing, £400 is still a lot to share out for a 'returning / part time' fan.

So many people have been waiting for this. Fans who won't go to Withdean and lapsed fans and people who support Prem clubs because there was nothing credible locally. Drawing a relatively small proportion of these at these incredible prices (esp paid monthly) will mean Brighton could shift a lot of tickets.

good pricing will see a decent turnout. but i dont think it will be as high as 15k+. alot of people will not be in the habit of going out every Saturday afternoon/Tuesday evenings, and £400 is still £400 many dont have or wouldnt want to spend on football right now. i expect to see a decent pay on the day following with a stronger season tickets sale second year (if in championship/palying decent football).

You'd be surprised how many 18-21 year olds go to Withdean. (AT £150 for a ST it's a bargain)

Now that will be £395.00.

I assume one quarter of the 18-21 year olds willnow be 22, so they would not expect a £150 ticket.

Some may realise what a bargain £150 was and will be happy to pay what is still a great price. Some will decide to pay monthly - incredibly it's less than having Sky Sports each month. So how many won't got to Falmer? Perhaps 1/4 of them? Shame.

Does anyone know how many Season Tickets we sold when we first made it to the old top division?

Good question Wanderer but totally non-comparable. I'll try and find the analysis posted previously on here, but the number of people going to football ahs more or less doubled since then. So the expectation should be that if there were say 6k in 1979, then there ought to be arounf 12k in 2011.

The polls seems pretty optimistic to me, it was a long time ago when gates over averaging over 10,000. Its going to take a lot of stay awayers coming back. All depends I guess if we get promoted..

Reasonable pricing, 12 month DD plan on offer, and a fine new stadium.

I reckon there will be big big numbers personally.

So how many STH will there be, including the 1901 club?

pointless speculation , i couldn't give a toss really as i've said i'll give you all a big wave out of the hospitality box :wanker:...............................

The club want to sell 15,000. If they do as well as they did on the 1901, perhaps they may even exceed this. I think the direct debit feature will be very popular.

Have family in North East and they pay £400 for a ST at Sunderland and its a good one! for Prem football. So £395 is not a 'bargain' by any stretch! - however we've been waiting long enough so i reckon we'll sell approx 11k

You can't compare the cost of a ST at Sunderland with one at the Amex.

If I find a 5 bed house in Hove for £400,000, are you saying that isn't a bargain because you could get one in Sunderland for £395,000? ???

It does provoke a thought though - This area must have one of the worst salary to housing cost ratios (if there is such a thing) in the country. I imaging the natives of Sunderland have a little more left over for things like footy, maybe why the get such good support, nowt scientific, just a thought....
