My marathon PB is 3:09:50 in 2010 at 41 years of age. I have done 2 others, both at 3:20. I have run a sub 90 1/2 marathon but this was part of a full marathon so not sure if it counts. My 10k best is 42 mins. I have tried and tried for a sub-40 but never achieved it.

Have you done much interval training? You should be able to smash 40 mins for 10k if you can do a 1.30 half marathon.

On NSC for over two decades...
I'm not exactly a regular runner, only took it up after meeting my wife in my mid-thirties, anyway I clocked a PB for 5k at 22:21. Reckon I could go quicker now if I ran a bit more regularly.

I don't mind the distance but I'm not built for speed :)

Best Brighton marathon time for me (done this year) is 4:57:07 and I am very proud of that :D

The only time I ever run is trying to catch the train at the end of the match, once got told by a steward to stop running!
I did as he asked so I could check he was being serious, f*ck me the last time that happened I was still in shorts in a school corridor :tantrum:

About 10 yards - if that.

I was diagnosed with a pulminary embolism - blood clot on the lung - last week. I spent all last week in hospital being treated.

As no one else appears to have noted this, can I say I hope you are on the road to recovery.

As above, I hope that isn't as serious as it sounds LO, and that you make a total recovery as soon as possible.

Timed myself doing sprint starts at Uni last year and was doing 30 meters in 3.6 secs. Over distance, i have no idea.

According to my conversion charts that would equate to a 10.13 100m .keep it up and you'll make the GB team in no time,

Hahahahah! I once met the 2nd fastest runner in the 27-34 category, 2nd team for Dorking. Well, I say met him, one time I talked to a guy who knew his brother.
