Won a trip on Concorde with a flight around the Bay of Biscay. An amazing day as was able to include a visit to the flight deck mid flight. Walking onboards was like getting into a tube of toothpaste. Lovely comfy leather seats and incredibly noisy when taking off and again being pushed to the back of your seat when pushing through Mach2. Very happy memories!!

Second in the Falmer Chess Congress, technically not a winner but the game of Chess was the winner.

West is BEST
I won a Planet Hollywood fleece in the Trocadero centre but left it on the tube. I was not upset.

I also won a kids mountain bike on a work lottery thing years ago which I gave to the kids hospital up on the Dials. Which is flats now I think.

And then there was Brighton’s biggest willy competition at The Event, 1999. I didn’t have to show the whole thing. Just enough to win.

I won a frizbee in a "spot the difference" competition in Look-In magazine.
I also won a set of watercolour paints for a picture I drew & gave to the Lyons Maid ice cream van man as a kid.
(Well, my big sister drew it, and my Mum never let me use the paints, as they were too nice & I might ruin them).

A few Club Championships and the North West Championship when Kart racing in the late 1970's.

My contemporises on the Continent in that era were Prost and Senna. Wonder what happened to them? :lolol:

Yes and No. I won a competition in the Evening Standard in the early 00's for tickets to a Lionel Richie concert, signed CD, get to meet him beforehand, the whole shebang - they called me up at work and told me i''d won, and they'd be in touch, and then . . . . nothing.
They didnt get in touch. I called the Standard offices, emailed them, chased it all up, and heard absolutely nothing. Bastards!
Not only was i going to meet and see Lionel, but i'd also told the bird at work i was trying to crack on to, and she was coming to the gig with me so i was exceedingly confident of having a go on her! DENIED X2!

ive not got the Standard since. Bollocks to the tory shitrag.

If you are going to Google what happened to Senna, make sure you're sitting down and not in an emotional state!

Brighton factually.....
I won first prize in a drawing competition at one of my many primary schools St Mary's C Of E Primary in Dachet in 1977.
That is the only thing I have ever won with any effort being made by myself.
Prize....
Nothing, not even a well done son, so I never bothered again after that.

I did win 5.5k on the postcode lottery last February, I gave the majority to the wife to pay for the holidays for the year, before I blew it on....

Won a case of Dom Perignom at a previously companies golf day after my closest to the pin exploits.

I wasn’t invited back for my remaining tenure. Someone told me afterwards that the founder was meant to win it?!
