My Dad has a small fleet of bikes, Triumph Tiger 1050, Yamaha XT450, Aprilia Mille (track bike), Suzuki GSXR1000 and a couple of mopeds. The GSXR is absolutely savage, he's had it at 170mph

Below the pinnacle of my riding career/stable so far (the red one), could also add in a few others like Blade, GSXR, 900SS etc. The plan one day is to have the black Senna 3, one owner, low mileage, standard trim, mint condition, low price............dreamer!

I loved my Yamaha R1. It was the 2004 model when they ran the exhaust under the seat. So comfy for a sports bike. It felt like it was made for me. Sold it when the kids came along but I still have my memories. Still have the bloody kids too !!

175bhp? Holy crap... how fast can it go (in theory?)

To put that in perspective Barry Sheenes works Suzuki was one of the earliest to have 100bhp.....Nowadays the big Ducatis,Aprilias,Yamahas etc..road bikes you can buy weigh less than 200kg and pump out 200+ Horsepower. In a road test on dry road the Ducati 1299S Panigale pulled wheelie when accelerating from 100mph and according to test rider accelerated strongly at 170mph

THE FACTS

Ducati 1299 Panigale S

Tested: 1,285cc four-stroke V-twin, six-speed transmission

Price/on sale: £20,795 (standard 1299 £16,695)/March

Power/torque: 205bhp @ 10,500rpm/106.7lb ft @ 8,750rpm

Top speed: 190mph (estimated)

Range: 120 miles @ 35mpg (estimated)

Verdict: Magnificent super-sports V-twin that combines stunning looks, phenomenal performance and agile handling with safety and ease of use[/QUOTE]

The Dogs Cojones of modern bikes IMHO. I'd kill myself on one - am currently considering the Yamaha MT07. Looks like a great naked, rave reviews and only £5.5k new. I think a red one will do nicely for the summer.

Yes, had a Honda ST1300 for a year. Unbelievable V4 engine, and very comfortable. Did a lot of very fast long distance touring usually with a police Class 1 instructor trying to keep up on his BMW. :)

Had faster ones and more modern ones but my favourite and perfect bike at the time was a 1984 Honda CX500E Eurosport. Smooth, great noise, super comfy. Seemed fast enough at the time :) One trip to South of France with girlfriend now wife wearing totally unsuitable attire was perfect. Happy days.

At the time the bike of my dreams was a CBR1100Blackbird,got one for me 40th.What a feckin monster bike in it's time.Had it up to 187mph with 2 thousand revs left on the clock. This was the X6 injection, the carbed bikes were faster apparently:lol::lol:
The bike got knocked over by a mum on the school run and they wrote it off:tosser::tosser:

Currently got a MK1 1200 Bandit,good for the commute into work:cool:
My first love is my Lambretta's,none of that mirror shite, chrome don't get ya home:nono:.

Well impressed by the bikes on here. I don't know about you lot but no matter how good I feel about my bike I always like looking at other bikes so good to see a feast of metal.

The Yamaha Thunderace was the fastest UK bike for a short while back in 1997, and mines still pretty good for 18 years old. Really loved it in all that time, but i use it less and less as living in London - the occasional Brands GP track day stops 'on road' naughtyness.

Have had 11,000 on tacho gunning down Pilgrims Drop, which equates somewhere north of 150mph (you tape up the speedo so as not to be transfixed and bin it big time at the next corner)

Would quite like a Triumph Tiger 1200 next me thinks

Just like to add, that if I was to buy another Jap bike, big ask for me, I would plump for this bit of muscle......
