It would appear that depending on your bank some people who normally receive their salaries on the last working day of the month, have been paid a little early, in time for bank holiday weekend.

Tues is the last day of the month, so why would people be paid earlier? if it was the mon then yes.

Apparently employees at American Express with Barclays and Natwest bank accounts HAVE been paid whilst those that don't have not.

It's the same with the council.

I don't work for either, nor do I have an account with Barclays or Natwest.

I'm sure we've got loads of Amex staff on here who could confirm

We get paid 20th of every month and if it falls at the weekend on the Friday.

Just checked and I haven't been paid, but I do have a bit more than I thought I would have this stage of the month, so that's nice.

EDIT - I read it that Barclays & Natwest staff had been paid early as well as Amex, rather than Amex staff with Barclays & Natwest accounts have been paid early, so ignore me, as I'm not with either bank.

Same with me, different employer, but I'm with Natwest. If the last day falls on the Monday (or Tuesday if it's a Bank Holiday) my wages clear on the Saturday.
