seems very odd that the banks change the date, its down to employer as said earlier. maybe the change of date is processed quicker by Barclays/Natwest? other thing i can think of is the clearing banks are quicker to clear the company's payment, but that would include HSBC and Lloyds too.

No, it's bank related. And some clear faster.

I work at Amex and my Lloyds account is empty (boo!) where-as facebook is full of colleagues telling me they've got paid (they won't be laughing when I have money after the weekend and they don't!)
