OK, so I'm not the first to use this phrase (was it Norman Lamont?) but I feel that Joe G's 4 goals today might just be the making of him. Sure, he's still got some way to go, but I also remember a certain P Ward scoring loads for the reserves before he ever got a look at the first team. If he can develop his goalscoring at this level then he might just be ready to move back up by November or December. We've also got some very good prospects in Chamberlain and Fraser (and even Loft) coming through.

Everyone's pretty down at the moment, and the latest developments aren't helping, but I just think that perhaps we can start to see a little light ahead - as long as it isn't the train coming the other way!

I really don't think this is the right time to be kicking out the manager - and possibly even the Chairman.

4-goal salvo's in the ressies are one thing, but Gatting looked a long way short of 1st team material to me. Don't mean to sound harsh, as the Championship is a hell of a tough league to come into and make an impact, but if our front line next season consists of CKR and Gatting, then we are BANG in trouble...

I can remember someone scoring four goals in the first team, sadly he didn't set the World alight after that effort.
