Thats not much of an answer is it? What positions can he cover thats not allready covered by other players?

What if we get a spate of injuries??

Better to have some tried and tested cover in the squad.

Surely if we want to progress as a club we need players who are going to improve the squad not just be there to make up the numbers? If we get a spate of injuries then we exploit the loan market as we've done in the past. I think we all appreciate what Gary has done for us in the past and i'm sure that appreciation will be shown by a healthy crowd turning out for his testimonial, but all these things have to come to an end at some point no matter how popular a player is.

it was a joke by the way . saw dean wilkings in the pub a few weeks ago and went up and had a chat to him. its all over now . was bitter for a few days but who wouldnt a. no problem any more.

is this is the case then why post something like this on 8.7.08
