I thought it was perfectly fair.....if they cheated then you should get recompense....just cos we were shite that day is neither here nor there.
I think we should have been awarded the game 3-0.
But they didn't cheat. Cheating involves a conscious decision to gain an unfair advantage, and there is zero evidence that Hartlepool were guilty of this. The club secretary made a balls up, we've all had bad days at the office.
It has now been mentioned that Liddle thought it was his 9th yellow and the total bookings information on the official FL website at the time showed this as well.![]()
If Hartlepool have a site anything like NSC, there would have been posts during the game that he got booked, saying "that's his tenth - he's gonna miss the Brighton game".
And during the Brighton game, there would have been posts saying "surely he's suspended?".
Surely the club listen to the fans?![]()
