There is no 'cure' , but stress will make you lose more hair so don't stress.

My hair has started to thin so I looked into it, but decided against taking anything like minoxidil I heard David Gest takes it and look at his hair! Propcia is another chemical that they say helps but again i have heard it is very expensive and only keeps what hair you have also it has some strange effects.

I have heard some horror stories about people that have had operations where they have had hair transplants and been in a lot of pain and looked very silly.

I just keep my hair short and it looks ok.

Anybody had any of these?... Like Adavanced Hair Studio, Belgravia Centre etc?...

Just wondering if the are worth the big expense or just a big con?...

I'm receding far too much, I want more hair! :(

They're a con. They are different wigs to show different stages of hair growth to make it appear like your hair is magically growing back.

Not had it myself, as still have mine.

To be honest it is a FACT blokes are better looking if they have their hair. I know I was much better looking in my 20's with a full and cool hair of hair. Ok blokes losing their hair may welll shave their heads and embrace their baldy look and even kid themselves they are almost happy to be bald but this is bullshit every baldy on this planet would prefer to have their locks back.

Accept it, get a pair of clippers, set it to a number one and rejoice in the fact you will never have to buy shampoo and conditioner again, f*** around with what hair you've got left every time you go out and realise its no big deal.

The trouble is it is a HUGE deal for a lot of blokes. No one want to lose their hair and my best mate started to lsoe his at 17 and it destroyed his confidence with Women for about 10 years. In the scheme of the universe it may seem trivial but on a personal level its impact can be massive on the mental well being of a bloke hence the billions of products raising billions of pounds trying to get their hair back.

One of the great mysteries to me is why do ALL tramps have massive full hewads of hair into their 50's and 60's ?. Must be the washing of it that kills it.

A debate a friend of mine and I used to have and the answer we came up with was that it was alcohol related, so as long as Trigger necks four litres of White Lightning a day he'll be fine.

I once went to the Belgravia Hair Studio in London for a free consultation. It was based in Wigmore Street... you couldn't make it up.

It's all a con, nothing works, even Rogaine only does the very crown of the head and, as said above, it all falls out once you stop. I tried Silicium 44 and that was a load of crud.

Disagree with you on the looks thing Uncle - some blokes look much better bald - check out Turk from Scrubs.

If I can give the female perspective here: there's nothing worse than a bloke with receding hair who's blatantly trying to cover it up.

Just go with it, keep it cropped short and don't lose sleep over it. We don't stop fancying blokes just because their thatch is a bit thin on top. Some of the sexiest guys I know are balding, it's all about your personality not your hair innit.

Your not shallow though are you. Unfortunately without wanting to piss off the ladies on here I firmly believe Women are far more shallow than Men and to 90% of them a bloke losing his hair would be a big deal.

Saw Gary Numan in Heathfield the other day, apparently he's moved there now. I must say his weave is impressive, but on a 40 something year old it just looks plain daft, but he's a rock star so he can get away with it I suppose:glare:

and being loaded and hung like a donkey

The size thing is a total myth, put about by insecure blokes.

Honestly, it really is what you do with it (and other bits ) that counts, not how big it is. And they all look pretty much the same anyway when the, er, moment arrives :p

That brings up another question, would most blokes rather go bald than not be able to get it up? Christ what if both happens!!

Insecure blokes? Does such a concept really exist Edna? Whatever next? Hove Born and Bred letting innocent cyclists pass by without him beating each and every one to a pulp and then stamping on their bikes?
