What is it that Poyet sees in Sparrow and Dicker , they are 3rd division players.

He's said numerous times that Dicker understands the game like no one else at the club. He's given him a chance to prove his worth in the Championship (as he's said he would) and now, he'll make a decision as to whether he's worth keeping (probably as a squad player).

What's Sparrow got to do with that article?

It has to be remembered that only Navs is out of contract and indeed his tweet doesn't specifically state that he has/has not been offered a new contract. Perhaps he may be retained or will be offered the opportunity of participating in pre-season to keep up his fitness level to facilitate a move or indeed for Gus to keep his options open.

Nothing appears to be in black and white and others, such as Dicker, Sparrow and Painter, are not out of contract but perhaps an official communique may clarify that the club will be open to offers for them, if indeed TB and GP are serious about driving the club forward.

Dicker deserves another chance to prove himself in the championship. He has only just come back from a broken leg that interrupted his season.

Agree he wasnt as awful as people make out befiore the broken leg,he was doing fine, also agree he has not been very sharp since returning but a summer of training will sort him out

Gus has said as much, something along the lines of he will tell some players who are still under contract that they won't be featuring in his side next season, so it's up to them whether they sit around trying to get on the bench or in the reserves all season, or if they get onto their agents and find themselves another club. Something like that.
