Don't worry Simster he will probably lose - but then I did not make any wild statements which turned out to be complete guff.

Any other predictions you care to make?
I hope not. I do actually quite like MURRAY, Diggers.

The only prediction I will make is that in one months time, Questions will still be behaving like a 15 year old, having contributed nothing but snidey or racist drivel and will still have no friends and of course a ridiculously small cock. In short, he will continue to harbour resentment that I am so much better than him in every way.

I`m sorry Simplester you have stumped me with your private message..............its blank.

Have you any more sporting predictions for us ?

What a tosser ....................

A tip for you (no pun intended).............. try not to spend so much time talking about the size of other mens willies.

Apologies Simster I`ve opened it............................

You're a snidey f***ing nob, and like all keyboard warriors, too much of a gobshite to make yourself known to anyone on the site. Probably best it stays that way.

Meanwhile I'll happily live with the fact that I'm simply far SUPERIOR to you in every way.

Do you want me to make myself known to YOU............... is that it ?

Personally what I think we need is to have US tip Murray and then the bloke really is doomed !

Thought i'd dig this up, as the Murray excuses are making a comeback. So far we have had:

1. He has a bad knee (a condition that only 1% of the population has)
2. It's really hot
3. He got caught up at Cincinatti airport
4. The floor's not right
5. It's been raining
6. He's got the US Masters coming up in a couple of weeks
7. He's just won a tournament so will be tired
8. It's his first olympic games, so he's bound to be a little nervous
9. Oh, and it's too hot, again.

We just have a nation of LOSERS

Hey, tell that to those two British girls swimming - they were absolutely brilliant and tactically highly astute too. Massively impressive.

Oor Andy should be keeping his powder dry for Flushing Meadow anyways, IMHO.

That is true, they did do well - but almost EVERY British athlete who has been asked if they're going to win has come out with the "Oooh, I'm just here for the experience, and anything more i get from it will be a bonus" crap.

We should be like the Americans - like Phelps for instance - when asked if he will win anything, he says that he will win every race he enters - EIGHT gold medals! ALL our team should develop this WINNING attitude, not this "it's not about winning, it's about the taking part" NONSENSE.

Rant OVER.

I'm really not so sure, tbh: to paraphrase Top Gun, if your ego starts writing cheques that your talent really can't cash when you come up against quality opposition (who, away from the entirely-Brit focused coverage are also pretty good at what they do), then you can just look a bit of a tit.

Modesty and respect towards one's opponent combined with a good - but expensive- training and coaching regime are factors all worth loads more than a strutting attitude, IMHO.

Tennis should be banned anyway. And football. And the NBA stars. In fact, anyone for whom this isn't the biggest deal in their life. How people like Murray can look their GBR team-mates in the eye in the village is beyond me, the others have strained every sinew for four years, he's there because, well, why not, I mean it's something to do for a week until the US Open isn't it?

Of course, if you're in the truly legendary class, then you can do what Steffi Graf did in 1988 and win every Grand Slam tournament PLUS the Olympic gold. But Tooting, you're 110% right. In fact, you've just reminded me of a thread I wanted to start.

When I said 'something to do for a week', obviously I was being very generous.

It is pathetic. The tennis world No6 goes out without a whimper against the world No70-something, while on the same day a 19-year-old wins the first women's swimming gold for nearly 50 years in an event that wasn't even her strongest. Olympian - you're having a laugh.

f*** you all. Murray ain't a loser. He's succeeded a lot more than all of you combined. The Chinese player wanted it more, IT HAPPENS! Seriously, what is wrong with this damn country, we never ever get behind our teams and players.

In America its totally different, they are always patriotic, always being their sportsman and adopted Michael Schumacher as one of their own and stuck by him (mainly Ferrari) but this country is a whinging binfest because either they're too good, don't try hard enough or are plain shit.

In America its totally different, .

True. Most of them didn't even bother turning up for the Olympics tennis, perhaps more dignified.
