The Brighton Noise stage in the alternative escape has been great so far. And the sun is out!

Going to check out Mac Demarco later.

Had a great evening last night, saw Red River Dialect, Darkstar, Lord Huron and Phospherecent. Was little queuing as well which was a surprise, assume tonight will be 10 times worse once all the London folk arrive?

Need tips for today. Only thing I'm interested in is Ed Harcourt and Indians.

If you are planning to see Ed Harcourt then Martin Rossiter is playing at the same venue at 8.00 p.m. Ex lead singer of Gene. Just him and a pianist playing some beautiful songs.

Mac Demarco was mental at the Green Door last night, total mayhem. I was quite surprised. Am currently deciding whether it is worth ditching Deap Vally at the komedia to get to the Warren early enough to catch Swim Deep and Kodaline.

Last night watched the following-
Shuyler Jansen at Unitarian Church. Guy on his own playing some electro stuff which went down well with the crowd. ( This venue now has a bar round the back which is a welcome addition)
Queue for Deep Valley at Komedia was too large so along to Hope for a band called Lab Coast. Very enjoyable punchy ten song set. Then onto Dome studio for three bands. Charlie Boyer and The Voyeurs. They have supported Toy recently and are not dissimilar. Most enjoyable aspect of their set was the group of girls trying to create a bit of a Mosh Pit at the front. Next band up were Allah Lahs which were ok. Next up it was Mikal Cronin who has worked with Ty Seagall and the highlight of the festival so far for me. Played some great songs which have prompted me to get his album at some point.( 9 out of 10 uncut). Will be heading in later and hope to see some daytime music which you can't beat as a hang over cure.

Highlights thus far - Girls Names, Dingus Khan, Mikal Cronin & Beach Fossils. I though Mac Demarco was good but not quite as good as his Green Door Store show last year. Did anyone catch him at the Corn Exchange? I deliberately avoided it as I though he'd struggle to come across in a venue of that size.

Looking forward to White Fence this evening

Cheers for mentioning Cronin. I have the album he did with Ty Segall and given what you have written will look to buy some of his solo stuff. Did you get to see White Fence?

Yep. I did. I wasn't sure we would get into the GDS to see them later on. Came across really well in a massive weird venue and I was definitelly up for more.

Didn't see Allah Las but had caught them last year. Saw most of Mikal Cronin, will check out his latest.

All about Green Door Store tonight.

Did not get to seen White Fence as was elsewhere that point. There were a few bands I unfortunately missed this year- Teleman, Unknown Mortal Orchestra and Martin Rossiter( seeing him in June though at Dome studio) Highlights yesterday were The Upskirts, The Orwells- hugely entertaining lead singer and Parquet Courts who will soon be huge. Seen them before at Audio and they Are great live. Disappointment were Deep Valley who played the usual 30 set which was probably 29 minutes too long for me.
Between bands managed to get to Resident and got the second Cronin album but yet to listen to it.
