oh yeah, the heart and hand... havent been in there for about 3 or 4 years since i stopped 'hanging' in the local band scene... was getting a bit poncey though when i was there the last few times

We worked out which pubs to go in and only went in the Kings Head because it was roughly halfway between the Adur and the Schooner, but we've been back a few times since. Excellent beer and good food all well priced. And the fact that we were obviously not local was not held against us by either staff or customers (unlike the Duke of Wellington in Shoreham). Favourites though are Battle of Trafalgar for a pre-match pint or George & Dragon in Tarring.

Heart in Hand in Brighton used to be a haunt, with the original Freebut and the Great Eastern. . . .that was 6-7 years ago now though
