Meant to say that after the game was over, took the football onto the pitch and took a Penalty from both ends,so I can safely say I scored at The Goldstone!

Got a copy of the one produced by the Supporters Club to mark the occasion, but don't rememebr ever seeing a club-produced one? The one hanging up in the Lord Nelson is the same as mine which makes me think that was the only one produced on the day.

Yep you can't beat the atmosphere of a big derby, those days will return that i promoise, massive fan battles everywhere greattttttt stuff.Next time we will have double barrell shot gunsAJ's Love Monkey said:As a Palace fan who used to go to the Goldstone when things were very 'tasty' between the two sets of fans i must say i have very vivid memories of the place. The floodlight pylon stuck slap bang in the middle of the away terrace which somehow in my drunken state i always managed to get stuck behind! The park opposite the away end which always had running battles in it, the hill where Brighton fans come hurtling down as soon as one Palace fan stuck his toe on to the street! (until one time i think it was an Easter game funnily enough when a huge mob of Palace were waiting for them and gave the Brighton fans a fearful pasting. However it was a ground that Palace fans waited all year to visit and the masses of trains departing South London down to the south coast on Brighton v Palace games were absolutely chocker and always filled with anticipation and excitement. I remember one year meeting up with about 20 of my mates at East Croydon station and the place was rammed but when we went outside there was a huge winding queue to get into the chemist next door, when one of my mates asked one of the Palace fans in the line what it was all about he replied "Vicks nasal spray mate that will f*** the Brighton scums mincer's up!" Unbelievable! I miss the Goldstone it was the home of our biggest rivals and to think of it now being a retail park is still so sad but if you get Falmer maybe Palace fans can get to relish going there as much eh?![]()

Was you there one Boxing Day when Palace fans were tearing up the terracing and throwing it into the Brighton end?! I mean FFS how many potential fatalities could have happened that day?I seem to remember a member of the local constabulary getting a piece of hardcore on his head that day!
