Maybe it originated some time earlier though as people are talking 76/77 which was before my time, and Crispies brought it back slightly differently in the late 80's and early 90s.

There are bound to be variants when the original is from 35 years ago. I can vaguely remember the "onion men" verse now it has been mentioned but if asked to write down the words yesterday I would have left it out as it would have been an addition after learning the original ORIGINAL off by heart.

Back in my youth, was going to Hull away by train (I think it was still the Seagull Special then but wouldn't swear to it) we were trying to make up all sorts of verses to this to see if we could get people singing anything. We came up with some pretty stupid efforts but can remember penning "We all wear white and blue, we are the barmy Brighton crew" Is the one and only time I have led the singing at the football!

We used to sing it in the South Stand too, you know!
