Does anyone know where we can get some reliable reasonably good batsmen for next season - I can't see the kids cutting it at the moment.

People are far too dismissive of our young batters. As I pointed out last week, (including this game) Salt, Haines and FHP have played nine FC between them - that's nothing for players making their way. Haines is only 17, really young in cricketing terms and is very highly rated at Sussex. T

hey may not make it but it's way too early to be dismissing them - they'll certainly play a handful of games next season while they try to make their mark - I don't think anyone expects them to be regulars for a couple of years.
