If you didn’t watch it last night, it’s available on ITVX

As a near 60 year old parent and grandparent I found it both compelling and equally disturbing.

Fair play to the young lady for waving her anonymity and making this programme to highlight this serious issue.

Spoiler alert, the horrible c*** not only got 21 months but is also now a registered sex offender which will do wonders to his earning potential when he gets out.

Been a lot of improvments in the last couple of years to deal with this issue. Some laws were introduced and most of the big porn sites only allow verified members to upload videos these days... according to a friend, obviously.

I listened to her interview with Naga Munchetty yesterday on 5 Live. She came across really well, and as you say, well done to her for waving her anonymity - which will hopefully help others in similar situations.

As you also say, 21 months is surely not long enough!

I will watch the programme on ITVX.

From what Georgia Harrison said in her interview with Naga, only Onlyfans took immediate action and took the video down. Pornhub just ignored her requests. Someone managed to get it off PH for her - but apparently going through the official process to get it taken down can cost £thousands! She also said that links are still appearing on twitter to other sites! Sounds like it's almost impossible to take it down completely once it's out there!

Yeah still common but not nearly as usual before some 100 countries introduced laws against revenge porn 3-4 years ago, forcing giants like Pornhub etc. into actually taking some actions. Before that, anonymous people could just without a trace upload any sort of sex videos and it'd be proper hassle to remove it. Today it still happens but it is easier to find and punish the offender since anyone uploading stuff must have verified their account.

Getting rid of it completely is indeed difficult and a lot of the porno anarchy that used to be on Pornhub, Xhamster and so forth just moved to Twitter/Telegram/Signal and similar less controlled environments.

Stories like this usually pass me by, but a colleague has been raging about this. Not only the offence itself, but also the subsequent publicity-whoring from this bloke Stephen Bear and his fiance. Apparently she's been making videos of her prison visits and making out like he's some sort of victim. All of this is lapped up by the gutter press of course.

She (my colleague) is usually mild-mannered, so it's been quite an eye-opener seeing her get so angry. She has a 13 year old daughter, which is definitely an additional factor.

My daughter is only 2, so a way off worries about things like this, but it does make me wonder what the world will be like for her in 10-15 years time.

In what kind of world does some plastic-faced woman, who's engaged to a Z-list celebrity sex offender put together content for her social media about visiting the sex offender AND EXPECT TO MONETISE IT? Or is she just hoping for engagement for another reason?

A quick check of Twitter reveals:

I'm afraid it is the same world that would have this bloke as a celebrity in the first place.
This is an appalling case and Georgia Harrison is an extremely brave woman. I hope that her going through this court case will help change things for the better.
