@Couldn't Be Hyypia apologies if I asked you thiabefore …. did you do all the hard landscaping yourself and the lime mortar repointing of walls?
I did not. The lime work was done by a genius called Ian. All he does is repoint old houses (and chisel out a LOT of cement, by hand). It took his 5 months because he did the whole house and a barn.

I did the paths (end on portland stone), but wasn't confident to do the circles, so used a local landscaper. I think they look amazing, so it was a good decision.

I like this at One Garden Brighton, repurposed roof tiles? Aspire to do something similar, one day.

For some reason that reminds me of a driveway I saw in New Hampshire. I loved it so much I took a picture. Maybe combining this kind if planting with the tile path?

What veg do you want to grow?

For example...beans, peas, courgettes and brassicas enjoy a rich, well manured soil

Root veg enjoy a poorer, stone free, sandy soil without manure

As a general rule for raised beds, a decent top soil is a good choice but may need enriching depending on what you want to grow

Had some successful raised beds last year. However, I’m looking at planting some Saskatoon and Buffalo Berries right where two of the beds are… Not looking forward to lugging all that soil 😅

Cherry Blossom, Clematis, 2 fox cubs 😲

(There were 3, but only caught 2 on camera)

About 9 months ago one evening we saw 4 cubs and a vixen at the point of Valley Drive where it leads off to Glen Rise.
