i am looking for a holiday in june this year and wondered if Fuerteventura

Worthing
Great for couples.

Wouldn't say it was lively though.

Have been about 4 times for a winter break. Corralejo is the "liveliest" resort although not exactly San Antonio.
Maybe gets a bit more hectic in summer but nevertheless some great bars/restaurants and probably some of the best beaches you will ever find

Been to Corralejo and concur it is lively in summer but in no way as lively as say Gran Canaria, it is more couply and I also found it rather windy!!

I love that place, been a couple of times in the winter.

It has nothing historical to speak of, but has one of the best beaches in "Europe".

That large dune is amazing and probably my favourite place on earth.

Depends where you stay. The man made cove is tacky as f*** and full of costa bravo Brits. The end of the island with the sands dunes is beautiful. The clue is in the name. It means windy island or something similar. It's windy.

It's not windy though, if you want wind go to Tarifa in Spain. It's the only place I've been with killer sand.

I'll give it a miss. In my old age I wont want sand disturbing my book or blowing the umbrella off my piña colada! Seychelles is where it's at.

Well I never witnessed the wind in Corralejo, this year or before.

Having said that there is so much old fleshy bits hanging around on the beach, I'd imagine they act as a natural wind break.

Seriously? Its famous for windsurfing and regularly has International Comps there.

I guess it depends where you go. I've been twice to Corralejo, spent all the time on the beach and never noticed the wind. Possibly around December time it's calm?

Tarifa on the other hand. My God, I'll never go back there again. There is also the famous mist that comes down on the beach, which in the middle of summer has to be seen to be believed.
