Went to a resort called Costa Calma a couple of years ago. Down south near Jandia. Very German but I quite enjoyed it. For the price, a good All Inclusive week.

Quiet Island for a Chill out Holiday. Wouldn't recommend the place for the Night Life though.

If you want some night life then Gran Canaria is the place to go.We're regulars in Playa del Ingles,no not gay,and it rocks. If you want quiet to chill out after then Maspalomas is 5 minutes away in a taxi.Fartiventura too windy/boring

Went to Corralejo with wife and thorughly enjoyed it. The weather was very good and there were some excellant restaurants.

Very good food there. First time I went, it appeared a little difficult to get local traditional (and Spanish) food.

However, now the situation is completely the opposite. It would the appear the Brits (and the Germans) are demanding the local stuff.

We usually book a house on the sea front, over looking the small island (Los Lobos?)

The two big hotels on the even bigger beach are probably going to be knocked down in the future, so that beach (which is simply amazing...), will be be even more amazing in the future.

Wish I was there now.

If you've got your heart set on Fuerteventura then Corralejo is probably as lively as it gets. Beaches are brilliant. However, as others have said, Gran Canaria or Tenerife are a better bet if its nightlife you're looking for. Lanzarote is neither one thing nor the other and probably the dullest of the lot. IMHO, like.

Canaries in June ???
Probably hottest place in all of Europe - save the Canaries for winter sun and go somewhere where you can sit in the sun for more than 2 hours per day.

Me and the missus have been going to Fuerteventura for the last 15 years, we stay in El Castillo (Caleta De Fuste) this resort is excellent for couples of say 35 upward but is not "lively", Corralejo is livelier but is no Las Americas, Jandia down in the South is very quiet but a gorgeous place to stay.
All in all Fuerteventura is a peaceful break in the sun but it really is for lazy days, it is getting fairly expensive there now but we love the island and are going back again this year.
