Friends reunited

Appologies if this has been done before but do any of you have experience of friends reunited?

Got a phone call the other night from the lady I have always wished I had married, perhaps the only one I have ever truely loved. And what does she tell me - she felt the same.

But now she's married with kids and I am feeling really shite. :nono:

Oh well :drink: :drink: :drink:

Anyone had good experiences on there?

Met up with an old flame courtesy FRu on my last trip back. Hadn't seen her for many years. Obviously still has the hots for me, but then, who wouldn't?

Worth remembering that FRu is becoming a major contributor to the divorce statistics. So it's highly recommended, of course..

Avoided contact with women (too much history!!!) but did make contact with my best mate from Primary School who left Bognor aged 11 to go and live in Nottingham. He went with me and my Dad to my first ever Albion game in 1968 and sent me a scanned copy of his programme.

We have exchanged e mails and plan to meet up at the Notts County game.

It's scary. I registered and got an email from someone who said they remembered me. I'd never heard of him, but he remembered that I lived in Haywards Heath, travelled to Crawley for school, what bus and train I took to get there, and my older brother! I still haven't got a clue who he is.

It just wasn't mean't be be so just ignore her or you will suffer:p

Thanks Berks, that was the conclusion I was coming too as well :(

Still, 20 years is a long time for 2 people still to be carrying the old flame isn't it?

Oh well, onwards and upwards. Did you all notice our wonderfull result last night with a silver goal? See you all in Cardiff :clap2:

I have exchanged emails with several people and found out how their lives are now.

Haven't met up with anyone though and don't really want to. It has been interesting seeing who stayed married etc

I have just peered into my cryst*l ball, and it says here that you would have been desparately miserable together in actual fact, :shootself
and that making yourself sad with such outrageous conjecture about 'what could have been' is simply silly and imaginary, dreamworldly.
It also says that you would have been killed together in a car-crash while visiting the marriage guidance councilor

Phew ! Close shave there mate, and lucky you didn't have that other life eh?

I actually got a message from a bird from school, we had kissed once at a party .

She reminded me of how I helped smash my mate's (back then) Airfix planes, and she obviously thought that destructive.

I responded with an email about what I was doing with my life now, and she didn't respond back. I sent her a short note to ask what she was up to, and she ignored that too.

I have to think she was looking for a relationship or summat, but I am geographically too far away to be helping support her single motherhood (it says she is in her profile). Silly cow ! :moo:

Cheers nmh :lolol: . I laughed. You're right I know but sometimes it's difficult to not do the 'what might have been'.

Good job about that bloody car though, that would be why I always prefered motorcycles

Be lucky chap and see you in Cardiff.

OK... Hankies ready everyone.

My Dad met up with some old school friends via friends reunited, they hadn't seen each other for more than 35 years. 4 days later my Dad died. However, my Dad's friends had only met him recently they all came to the funeral and were a top bunch of lads, bringing old photo's and the like. Oh yeah, my Dad was, probably' one of the best ever supporters of the albion... and the reason why I'm here, typing this lament now.

Cheers Dad.

I want to write something just so as acknowledge your post. Can't think of anything appropriate though, sorry. :)
