Could there be a bit more to the Dr Fox shenanigans than meets the eye?! We need to be told!

He has allowed himself to be almost corrupted, influenced and certainly manipulated by Werrity. What advantage he gained from all this if any, we don't yet know. However he needs to go and go today. I expect Cam has already told him to fall on his sword sometime this afternoon.

The business card will rear its head again today. Its long odds on someone will have received it with an endoresement or recomendation from Fox himself. Just wait for the Guardian or the Mirror to dig them out.

Fox has got to go. There has to be a clear separation between government business and personal life. If Fox survives it will set an dangerous precedent.

Werrity is clearly taking the piss. How can he pass himself off as health policy consultant one minute and and advisor to the Defence Secretary a few months later?

And the two guys seem to meet a hell of a lot.

From the BBC website today:

'Mr Werritty was present on 18 out of 48 overseas trips, according to records released by the Ministry of Defence (MoD).

They included visits to Singapore, Bahrain, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Hong Kong, Israel, New Zealand, Australia, Qatar and Sri Lanka.

Mr Werritty also visited Tampa in Florida, where he dined with General John Allen, who has since become the head of Nato forces in Afghanistan.

He also travelled to Washington DC before flying back with Mr Fox.

...

But he had no formal or paid role at the MoD or the Conservative Party and little is known about how the visits were funded.

The Times has claimed Mr Werritty declared around £20,000 in income from his private companies over the past four years.'

Can you smell fish? ???

Potentially, this looks like the biggest Gay Boy World Tour since Village People's "Can't Stop The Music" rampage in 1980.

Just far enough away from LDC
Fox has been a thorn in the side of the Tory leadership for a while - the budget cuts 'letter' leak being one example. I wouldnt be at all surprised if Tory high command have allowed him enough rope to hang himself on this before 'letting' the story out.

It allows Cameron a reshuffle to fill a gap without it being seen as shoring up a weak cabinet.

Worthing
I am confused why the former judge from Pop Idol was considered the best bet for running the nations defence when Waterman was obviously the better candidate.

Not entirely sure what he has or hasn't done (I suspect he has been silly rather than dishonest) but he is the pin up boy for the right of his party so if it is touch and go a lot will depend on if Cameron fancies a punch up with that wing of his party.

If he stays that is the end of the line for me with regards to EVER voting again. Im already disillusioned with politics and I know there are millions of young people just like me. In fact, I dont know any of my friends that voted in the last general election!

There are fair politicians that actually want to change the UK for the good. Then there are conservatives. We're in a paradigm where you can now vote for who you want, not just to vote against someone. Have a look at the smaller parties, the more focused ones, rather than the big 3 (now 2). The Greens are in Brighton because people voted for the manifesto rather than just voting a colour and self gain. Interesting times.

Between this and May making an idiot of herself at the conference it's been a pretty good week for Cameron.

It amazes me that he has possibly been up to dodgy dealings with very dodgy people and all some seem to care about is wether he might be gay.

Not sure it matters re any advantage, his judgement is not up to the level required for the position he holds, Cameron should have sacked him within the hour of Reading the report he wanted by 9am Monday
